What is included in a lighting and shades system?
Keypad-based lighting control, dimmers and drivers engineered for the fixtures, recessed LED design, automated shades, and the scenes and schedules that run them, with fixture and keypad placement coordinated with your designer. One system, not a lighting job plus a separate shade job.
Can you add this to an existing home, or does it need a new build?
Both. A new build or renovation gives the cleanest result and widest fixture choice. Lutron also offers retrofit-friendly control for finished homes, which we use well. The home decides the approach.
Why does Lutron Platinum dealer status matter?

How long does it take?
On a build it follows construction, with rough-in before drywall. On a finished home, a control and shade project typically runs a few weeks from scope to commissioning, depending on fixture and shade lead times.
What is service like afterward?
We commission the scenes in person, walk them with you, and adjust until they fit. After that, service is in-house: one number for tuning scenes, adding keypads, and adapting the system as routines change.
